Privacy Notice for Chris Halls – Kinesiology & Homeopathy

  1. The data controller for Chris Halls – Kinesiology & Homeopathy is Chris Halls, who may be contacted via the contact form on this site.

  2. Your information (see section 4) is used for (a) the provision of kinesiology and/or homeopathy services (see section 3), both during and after appointments as needed, as well as (b) providing you with information relevant to complementary healthcare, practice information and the marketing of services provided by Chris Halls. In each case, consent is needed for your information to be used as described.

    For children under 16 years of age, consent is needed from their parent/guardian for the provision of kinesiology and/or homeopathy services. Email information as described in 2(b) will be sent only to a parent/guardian where separately consented to.

  3. Provision of kinesiology and/or homeopathy services includes use of the information you provide to identify appropriate areas for investigation and select remedies or supplements as appropriate, which may include the electronic analysis of selected symptoms within licensed homeopathic software (RadarOpus), which is USB key and password protected.

  4. Information collected from you:

    1. Personal Data – name (plus parent/guardian name for a child under 16y), date of birth, and contact details.

    2. Sensitive Data – individual health-related information to enable an individualised kinesiology and/or homeopathy service (section 3) to be provided to you.

    Both Personal and Sensitive data are obtained directly from each client (or their parent/guardian) during either a face-to-face appointment, a telephone conversation or an email exchange. Personal Data only is collected when subscribing to the email service via the sign-up form on this website.

  5. Your Sensitive Data (section 4(b)) is never disclosed to any other party unless with your explicit consent/request (or the explicit consent/request of a parent/guardian for a child under 16y) or unless legally obliged to do so.

  6. Your Personal Data (section 4(a)) may be transferred to selected health product suppliers within the European Economic Area (EEA) so that they can send you products, only where you have requested and consented for these to be ordered on your behalf. A supplier may include additional information about their products or services with your ordered product.

    Please be aware that invoices received by Chris Halls for products ordered on your behalf will contain data that will identify you as the recipient. These invoices will be electronically recorded in cloud-based book-keeping software compliant with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) requirements (Intuit QuickBooks). This information will subsequently be viewable by the accountant appointed by Chris Halls.

    If you give consent for products to be ordered on your behalf, you may withdraw this consent at any time. However, invoices for products previously ordered will continue to be processed as described above for accounting purposes and held in accordance with accounts retention requirements (a legal obligation).

  7. Your Personal Data may additionally be disclosed to a third party without your consent if legally obliged to do so.

  8. If you consent to receive information via email, your Personal Data will be processed using an email marketing software system located in the EEA (www.getresponse.com or www.oninbox.com), for the purpose of electronically providing you with information relevant to complementary healthcare, practice information and the marketing of services provided by Chris Halls. You may update your information or withdraw your consent to your data being processed by the software at any time via the links in the footer of each email sent in this way.

  9. Any emails you send to Chris Halls will be retained for up to one month on an encrypted hard drive on the legal basis of legitimate interest, then deleted, with any appropriate information transferred to written notes.

  10. Written notes of your appointments and correspondence, containing both Personal and Sensitive Data, will be securely stored and retained for 7 years from the date of the last appointment/communication or, in the case of children, for 7 years after their 18th birthday, as a legal obligation in accordance with insurance requirements, after which time they will be securely destroyed.

  11. You have the right to update or correct your/your child’s information, or object to or withdraw your consent for the processing of your/your child’s information at any time by notifying Chris Halls as described in section 1. Please note that if you object to or withdraw consent, written notes made prior to that notification will continue to be retained under the legal obligation described in section 10.

  12. You have the right to request a copy of all of your information held by Chris Halls at any time. The copy will be made available to you within 30 days.

  13. If you have concerns about the way your information is processed, please contact Chris to resolve these. If you are still unhappy you should contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at https://www.ico.org/concerns or by phone on 0303 123 1113.

  14. If you do not consent to the use of your personal information for the provision of kinesiology and/or homeopathy services, you will only receive a ‘taster’ session. If you do not consent to being contacted by email, you will not receive any information regarding complementary healthcare, practice information and the marketing of services provided by Chris Halls, intended to be of interest to you, unless you subsequently choose to (re)subscribe via the sign-up form on this website.

Cookie Information

  1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).  Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.
  2. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States . Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.
  3. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
